Orvis reels

I am looking to purchase a new reel in the near future for the purpose of steelheading and perhaps a trip or two for the salmon in NY.  The three reels I have in mind at the moment are Orvis LA BG, Orvis VO2, and the Ross Momentum.  I have used the Ross before and it performs flawlessly; the downsides are that it is a bit on the heavy side and the big price tag on it.

Does anyone out there have any experience with the Battenkill LA or the VO2?

Go with the orvis la! The drag is great and at a good price.

Thanks for the input guys, thats what I was hoping to hear.  It looks as if my initial budget may have been higher than I am actually able to spend.  As of now I am leaning towards the LA.  I will let you know when I make my final decision.
