best fly rod outift for the price

Just ordered a G. Loomis 8'6 2 peice 5 wt. today from llbean paid  $265 for is felt that was the best price I could find. What do you all think or should I of just found someone to fix me one up?

      For 265 dollars you can could of had a very nice custom rod made to you exact specifications.  Could have even got a Loomis blank if you were set on that brand.

    I am not sure of the exact price differance but Scientific Anglers in addition to Redington makes outfits as well. For 265 thats not a bad deal at all. Like everything else that we get into in Life, if u really like Fishing with a fly rod u will eventually get a few more rods+reels. But you have to start somewhere :)

    all the rods listed are fine rods
    but the markup is incredible and ridiculous
    keep a watchful eye out at the end of the season
    i paid $80.00 for the St.Croix Avid 9' 8wt the winter before last
    it is a nice rod
