Childrens Fishing Contest Sunday

The Fishing Contest is Sunday, September 21st at 8:00 am
Elizabeth, PA  on the Monongahela River at Riverfront Park.

Children aged 16 and under.
I6 year olds must have PA Fishing License.
15 and under need no license
Bring your own fishing poles.
There will be a limited amount of bait. Shadlure bait and tackle in West Elizabeth opens at 7:00 am.

Registration starts at 7:30

Top Four Prizes are:

Two Tickets to a Pitt Basketball game with a free parking pass
Shakespeare Fishing Rod and Reel
Plano Tackle box to keep all your stuff in.
Minnow Bucket to keep you Minnows in.

    smallhook, you guys normally get a good number of kids showing up? Also I'm not to familiar with the Monongahela River.. what'd you guys catch? trout?

    No, primarily carp, catfish and bass.  This is the first year for this contest.  It is part of the Elizabety Lewis and Clark celebration in Elizabeth.  I only advertised on my website so we might get 5, 50 or 100 kids.  You can find the schedule of events at the link:
