what size line for kings

i was gonna go with that new Pline hydro float in 15# for main line. then try something like 14# pound or so seagar leader. do you think this is strong enough?? i use a 10' and a 10'6 noodle rod. thats for steelhead. will that work for kings if it will handle the line??

I use 20 pound spiderwire stealth braided and 8 pound vanish leader, been doing it for a couple years. Works well enough to keep my freezer full.

ive tried 10lb 12lb and 14lb i would stick with a 17lb due to rocks and zebra mus the fish dive down and its all over cuts the line ive put flor out and will use it as a leader but not main line the noodle rod will take it but your not giong to turn that fish in a run and will not be able to keep them out of trees or rocks i use a 6 1/2 eye rod or will use a bait caster works well some peeps use fire line but i use mono due to alot of line change also check the mfg date on the line it will have a code of   A- 25-08 a is the first month of the year and the end number is the year hope that helps good luck
