Sunday evening the surface temp was pretty much 66 degrees everywhere I went. Going to get warmer this week so you will have no problem finding water temp in the mid-70 range by your trip. Heading back down tomorrow.

The bass fishing is tremendous right now. I stopped crappie fishing and started bassin and caught 15 to 20 of them. Only a few were over 15" but all of them were fun to catch. They hit a silver crank bait, a floating rapala #9, and a spinnerbait with a 3" green twistertail. They were around every tree downed in the water. I never post about bass but i had to share this info. Have fun this weekend.

     Chauncy,

A friend and I slammed the crappies the first, and second week of this month at the Farm. We averaged 45 a day. With the best day yielding 93. I have a 16-year-old son who loves to fish, and had a great time. It feels good, having him looking forward to fishing, and hunting with me than being on the streets.  I wanted to meet with the members of KCA on the 13th but I had a BIG fish fry for my wife, and her family on Mothers Day. Thank you for sharing some of your tips regarding crappie fishing. I was in contact with Mike, and sent in an application to join KCA.
I hope to meet you soon at one of the KCA outings. Currently, I’m trying to get as much work done around the house in order to get in on the bluegill bite.

Peeta, surface water temp at Shenango yesterday evening was 76-77 degrees. Bass bite was real good. Fish shallow. The big females appear to be done spawning but many quality fish still catchable. Chugbug
