Rain Rain Rain

yes we certainly need it bad!  and it will help that first run of steelies up in erie.  it will definately blow out most streams and rivers for the weekend and into next week.  are there any places that are not too badly affected by this much rain?  i was thinking that maybe the yough outflow is one possibility...   i guess lakes as well, but would prefer to stick with smaller stream types...

Depending on how much more rain we get waters around here that are some what deep should be able to go on Sunday. I'm hoping on fishing a creek this weekend, Sunday, and sure they'll be higher but wondering about clarity? Maybe a bright streamer, or San Juan Worm.. hmm.. I'll tell you guys how I do.

LOL....you guys dunno what "needing rain" is....I am from Perth, Australia where we don't see a cloud for 6/7 months, then we get 40 inches in 3 winter months with temps around 65 deg at that time.
Personally, now that I live in western PA, I could well handle a few more weeks without rain...now the rivers will be brown and swollen....nothing to do but fish lakes,,,,,love the rivers....just let's have more than a week with OUT rain...or ice.....with out a drought being called.....

We sure are getting a ton of rain! Well seems like my trip for tomorrow is off, but lake fishing is fine with me. Swans500, I know you could handle a few more weeks without rain, but it really does wonders for fishing around here as well as for the fish. Some of the best fishing is after rain in my opinion. And what's bad about fishing lakes?! Lake fishing can be great, especially in the fall. I know the aspect of the challenge of streams & rivers is gone but when lake fishing picks up it's awesome..

The girlfriend and I were up at Battle Creek MI last weekend. We were hoping to get some fishing in but we hit a  monsoon in Ohio Friday night and it never stopped raining like that till all weekend. After the first system moved threw Ike came in. We ever had tornados touch down near us and they made everyone get into the hallways of the hotel.  I think all that was missing were the 4 horseman and the end would have been upon us. It's was almost surreal!

i hate when the apocolypse ruins a fishing trip...  i'm fishing the Nottawasagua next weekend in ontario, praying for good weather!  their steelies run about a month before ours!
