Havent fished in 2 weeks there, last time got skunked as well. Might have something to do with the weather changing so drastically up there.

    Keep Pluggin.

I live 5 miles from Tamarack and used to fish it quite a lot. But since it was drawn down for repair it has been known as the "Dead Sea".  That was 8 years ago.  The PFBC has screwed up that lake so bad it will never be any good.

Haven't fished it this year but have caught some nice fish from there in the past.  I always like fishing the wood cover in the middle of the lake.

I always seem to do better there earlier in the year, once the algae bloom starts and the visibility goes to crap I struggle to catch fish there.

I think the algae bloom could be the problem. once the wind stirs and mixes the water the visibility is really poor.  Maybe later this fall it will pickup again.

Fished there several weeks back for a couple of hours and never had a bite.  Check out the fish commission website for the biologists report and it sounds like they may be getting the bass population back up, although I have not seen evidence of it yet.  I’ve read and heard that they couldn’t get the bass population to take to the lake, therefore the panfish population has had their growth stunted (bass control the panfish numbers).  I can remember fishing there when I was a kid and having a great time catching nice size panfish, so much for that, it’s really a shame…

Right - I must have forgotten

The lake is tough to fish though -- very low visibility.  Fished there about 7 or 8 times now and we've only gotten 3 muskie out of there.  A 42", 43" and my little 31".  Then again, I'm kinda just starting into muskie fishing.

Had a few more stikes and misses but that's all.  Mainly casting the shoreline and wood.  The one above hit a j13 Rapala.

Nope no he didn't remember that fish was caught in Canada. There's no fish there IUP. You've been partying too much, nope nothing there. Everyone stay away.

No bluegill either, only a toxic waste dump!

There hasn't been anything too good to come from Tamarack since they drained it.

Tamarack has been good to me while bass fishing, my largest 5 fish stringer came there last year, 20.33 lbs. I've also caught several fish over 5 lbs and 2 over 6.

Bass Ackwards and I haven't fished there all season... but I know last year it was either hit or miss.  We only fished there about 2 times.
