Tionesta Outflow & Allegheny River today

Had one of my better spring days up north from 10:30 - 2:30 between the heavy showers that passed through quickly. Their is about a 12* difference in air temperature from up there to here in Pgh.
Fished the Tionesta outflow 1/2 way down from the outflow to the bridge, 2 northern, biggest maybe 25" 4 smallmouth biggest 17", all on shiners
Headed to the Allegheny river down past Kibbe's caught about a dozen smallmouth, one largemouth all on gold colored rapala and shiners. They all were in the 12"-15" range, nice little fighters,
River is good color, still a tad high same with the outflow, nice color and flow!
When I left the cloudy & breezy, frost warning way up north for tonight!

JSHAFish I was at the outflow saturday, if u were there I probably saw you, I caught a 23 inch musky and my father caught a 20 inch northern pike. Caught 4 bass 15,16,17, and 19 inch.  I fished for musky all day.  The fish were agressive.

JSHAFish I will be going up Thursday before Memorial Day weekend.  Where exactly do you live in Pgh. I live in Washington, PA.  The fishing has been good the past week I hope it stays that way.

I've fished at Nebraska Bridge a few times.  I caught a few nice bass and saw a nice musky there.

I live in Collier Twp, was up this past weekend, same deal fished Friday 1/2 way down the outflow, caught abut 8 bass, fellow across using white rooster tail got 2 trout and smallies also.
Fished the river Saturday past Kibbe's got a few bass, went back to the outflow Saturday evening got 1 bass, still running pretty good out of the dam, river perfect.
Will be going up Friday and staying for the week. Drive a bronze Explorer with a little white duck decal on the back window, always carry a green sack.

2cents.  Do you catch the trout right from the bridge?  I have seen them caught there but have not got them myself.  I must be doing something wrong.  I like to go up to the old pilars.

JSHAFish I am going to be fishing the stretch from the outflow to the river Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  If I see your explorer I will say something to you. I will probably see you sometime. Whats your name?

I checked the outflow level on the internet.  What the heck is up with it?!?!?!?! Does anyone know if they shut it off.  It is down to below 9 on the wall.

Just got back from camp today.  Fished the outflow friday, saturday, and sunday.  Got a 26 inch musky friday and 7 bass the smallest 14.  Got a 33 inch musky saturday and a 3 bass all legal.  Got another 26 inch musky sunday and 2 legal bass.  Bass still guarding spawn.  They changed the length of the musky to 40 inches.  Its going to make things a little tougher for the fishing tournament this year.  I didn't see your expoler JSHAFish, or I didn't see yours either trigger.

Just got back from a week up Tionesta, always heard & read 3 days before and after the full moon was the best time to fish. Full moon if I'm right was Friday, Wednesday & Thursday did very well on the smallmouth on the Allegheny, Rebel crayfish was the ticket. Many were hitting it before I started winding.
Fished the outflow earlier in the week didn't do any good, couple little smallmouth, water level low, same with the river.
Thursday evening was the best, didn't count but between 6:30 and dark I'd say I got 20 smallmouth, 2 pike and one brown trout, unbelievable evening! Rebel crayfish, gold Rapala were the ticket.
Biggest smallmouth was about 16", pike were maybe 25", twins, trout was about 15".
Overall had a good week, weather was good, rained last weekend but nothing major.
