My wife and I fished 5/8 and 5/9 did very well on crappie. Many were 12-13 in. heavy slabs. Did not fish for walleye if that is what you want to know.

i want to launch out of the linesville marina this week, but they dont sell bait there until 7 or 730.  last week when i was up there we did well on those orangish minnies and regular smaller minnies.  is there anywhere close to that area that sells bait earlier than 7?

T & M Bait that just opened up in Conneaut Lake is open at 6AM everyday but Monday.  It is on Route 618 going toward CL Park beside Antonio's.  There is also Gillette's the is outside of Linesville on Route 6.  They have a serve yourself station for minnies and crawlers.  Sometimes if youare to late though it has been cleaned out.

We fished Pymy on Sat and boated 8 walleye in about 4 hours.

that T and M place might be ideal.  i'll likely be staying up at my place on CL tues night.  is T&M on the parkside of the road or the opposite side?   i've head about that gillette's place, but self serve millies sounds odd.

I stop there all the time but I can't remeber the name...  It is about a mile east of the Wilson launch on Rt 6.  They are a self service shop, so anytime you want you can get bait.  I've stopped there at two in the morning before.

Gillette's is the bait shop just east of Wilson TJ, just past the ball fields on the left handside if you are heading west towards Wilson launch.

Rt. 618, west side of Conneaut Lake, south of the park.  Located right next to Antonio's.  Antonio's used to be Mama Bear's Country Inn.

Any one ever try using baby sunfish for walleye on pyma ?? I caught a bunch of 1-2 inch long sunnies in my bait trap and saved them for use as bait somewhere..

Very true.  We usually go to larger, heavier bait when it gets windy and do well on the walleye.

was up tonight, looking for gills on the redds......nothing.  talked to a few amish who are getting fish trolling crawlers.  one guy and his girlfriend had five, but one was undersized.  said his father caught ten keepers (over the weekend maybe, in one day maybe).  have a buddy who has a bait shop up there who says the fish are still there, but it is like the 80s, when fishermen went back to crawlers and anchoring close to stumps and weeds.  maybe lead core is taking a back seat to this.

Fished  weds, evening did decent in snod grass in 6 fow got many slab crappies and one walleye bottom bouncers.  Then fished all day thursday and friday morning and the bit for us  was terrible.  Boy the amish were hammering them all 3 days i was there trolling everytime id get close to see what they were useing they would hide it must be special breed bait or something amazing when i hooked the only eye of the trip and set out a marker  a hell of boats were in there.  Amish must have some type of fish radar  lol.  Also got a few channel cats one was around 18 inchs and hooked one huge white bass but lost it at the boat.  Still was a fun trip.

For a marker try a 24 FL OZ. bottle of Mt. Dew or spray paint the store bought ones a dull color. Hope this helps, it should.

4 of us fished 3 full days and nights over memorial day weekend. The fishing was terrible we got I eye and 5 crappie. Even the Amish weren't catching any. We are headed back down early Sat morning, try it around Tuttle. Hopefully do some fishing before the cold front hits.
