Hey there. just my opinion but u should look into something new that will enable u to ride the good trails. I havent been riding in probably 2 years but have rode on some really cool stuff. I swear cannondale makes the best bikes and u can get set-up with a great ride that has decent components for around 1200. I ride a hardtail f900. great bike. have had it for 7 years now. full suspension is way overrated in my book but just my opinion. been to moab, snowshoe, kennerdale, and my local favorite hartwood acres. great log jumps there. havent been out due to small children, school, and lost my riding partners. sacrificing full suspension can often enable u to find a great bike with better components.

Someone that lives about a mile from me is trying to sell a Specialized Stump Jumper that looked a few years old, which is a pretty good bike. I saw it in the person's front yard a few days ago. If you would like, I could check to see if they are still selling it, and see how much they want.

Your best bet would be to go to a local bike shop and see if they have any used bikes. The shop I go to does from time to time have some good used bikes at a decent price. Also, any good shop should be able to make sure that the bike fits you. Trust me when I say, you will be miserable on a bike that doesn't quite fit you. You may be able to find a decent bike in your price range that isn't used.
