fly fishing

making my first trip up to the camp this year and going to be doing some fly fishing on kettle creek and first fork sinnamahoning was wandering if anyone has been up and if they doing any good up there.  If you happen to know what is going to be hatching this weekend would appreciate it if u let me know so i can tie some flys to bring up. thanks!

    I was fishing driftwood branch, at emporium, father's dat, and nothing was coming off.  the water was 76* and nothing was hitting.  so your best bets would be to fish where the cooler tribs come into the main stem.  try ants, hoppers, caddis, attractor flies like the humpy, royal wulff or generic patterns like adams griffis knat.

    That would've been during that nasty heat wave, if I remember correctly.  But still, 76 in mid June?  yikes.

    best fishing on kettle was just before dark with parachute dries. cross fork still has a lot of fish in it, both natives and stocked, try it out.

    thought that myself.  the 76 was in the evening, 1st thing in the morning was 70 - 72, still warm.  maybe this little bit of a cool spell will lower the temp but still too hot to soon.
