Got some Line?

I am hoping to get the help of some skilled fishermen/women. I have been using Stren 12lb line when bass fishing for the past few summers. My buddies use 10lb eagle claw or some other cheap brandname line. But they continue to pull the bass in and I am lucky to catch a panfish. Can anyone recommend a good, quality, "invisible" brand name line for bass fishing and please recommend the test lb weight you perfer? Thank you for all your help and responses.

For large mouth bass, I think the line is the least of your worries if you're not getting bites and others around you are nailing them.  I'd play more with presentations and lure selection other than your line.

I've used anything from 6 lb mono to 20 lb Fireline and large mouth don't seem to mind much.  For all around use, I typically have 10 lb Fireline but I've tried that Suffix Braid in 10 lb and it seems good too.

Just remember, guys on the BASS pro tours sometimes use as much as 50 lb test for the bucketmouths through the weeds.  The line you have is fine... keep tinkering with your presentation and you'll start to get 'em more.

depends on water clarity. many pro tournaments are held in kakes w/ stained water. line diam/test is not as critical. in clear water use 10# yozuri hybrid (clear) or 10# smoke fireline w/ 10# floro leader(clear).

I used Sffix all summer last year and found it performed really well. This year all my reels are spooled with  1 sufix or another. I was using p-line prior to that. (ande on some salt water stuff.) so far the microfuse has not disapointed. Although it seemed pretty stiff out of the box Ive been quite pleased sofar.(15 lb microfuse,Shimano stradic 4000fh,6'6" Shimano convergence mh/fast) All 3 seem to perform very well together.

Berkely now makes a 100% flourocarbon.  I have had great success with this line.  For bass fishing I would recommend anywhere between 6-12lb.

I use 30# power pro and 10lb p-line fluorocarbon leader, no worries or mental issues of fish seeing it and I dont sacrifice sensitivity or abrassion resistance
