Clarion Provides Dinner.....

I'll be firing up the grill tommorrow night and his fella will be the main course  for supper >>>>>>

    dr, trout, i fished the heath pump station over the weekend. caught 2 big palominos and a big rainbow!! had something bigger take off with my bugger and tippet. i think i set the hook the same time the lunker turned and decided he didn't want anypart of me in the fast water!! oh well.
    i only seen one riser in the early afternoon,  ~dt

    Doubletaper...

    Congrats on the Palominos.. that is one trout type I have NO LUCK at catching - only one small one and that was over 10 years ago...

    I think it's a fly rod thing LOL

    i caught them on a fly rod!! i used an imitation mealworm i tie myself on one the other i cheated and caught him on a real mealworm. the brooks and bows i caught were on a light olive wooly bugger. don't ask me why but the light olive bugger worked all weekend!

    I talked to this guy and his buddy on Monday morning,, he caught these Palominos on nymphs.. across the road from the hatchery.. but he did not say just what kind...

    Will be vacationing up there June 18 - 23. ASnyone know a place to access the river between Ridgway and Johnsonburg?
