Going on a trip this weekend

I'm heading down to Baltimore this weekend to do some fishing with my cousins. We're going on a charter for trophy striped bass. Marylands regs say 1 fish kept per person per day minimum size 28". It should be fun. I'll post some pics when I get back on Monday.

Quills, I have fished the Chesapeake Bay for trophy stripers seven years running now. Just got back Monday evening. Lost 3 large fish for various reasons and still ended up with five between the six of us. Fish were 34, two 40s, a 42 and one huge 44+ inch hog. We go out of Kent Island, across from Annapolis, and have never been skunked, lowest we ever got was three, we usually limit out.

Good Luck, they are a blast to catch.

Here is one my wife caught her first time out, 42 inches.

Well I got back today, this trip was alot of fun. Everyone caught fish and my cousins have already said I should come back next year. It ended up costing $160 a person that included the charter, lunch, the tip for the mate and your fish filleted and bagged for you. The one I caught was 41" and weighed 25 pounds. Now if I could just get the picture to load.

Jeremy, Our trip has cost the same every year, $600 for 8 hours. Sometimes we have a mate and sometimes not, we really don't need one as we help setup, net, and tear down, makes the trip more interesting. We supply our own lunch and beverages, the captain fillets and bags the fish as part of the deal. Not saying that what Quills paid is a bad price, just that every captain does it differently.

Quills, glad to hear you had a good time, nothing like a hog striper bulldogging the line off your reel. Were you guys anywhere near the Bay Bridge?

We were fishing out of Cheasapeake Beach. My cousins have fished with him for about 8 years now. I know I had alot of fun. Well worth the trip. My cousins told me that I'll have a hard time beating my first rockfish.

Man I wish I could get that picture to load. It doeasn't seem to want to work. Maybe I'm missing something. The only thing I see to add a picture needs an internet address but I should have something on the page to let me load it directly right? All I see at the bottom is file and I can change between no change in picture embedding and embedded picture in post.

I forgot to mention we were fishing in a tournament and it included the fees for entering. We actually ended up being out for 12 hours, left the dock at 6am and returned at 6pm.

You have to upload it to a site like photobucket.com, and then enter the internet address of the photo at photobucket.

    Nice pic.  Awesome fish.

The only thing better than 1 day of fishing is 2 days of fishing.
