Blackleggs Kids Day, May 5th

Blackleggs Trout Nursery and Watershed Association is holding its annual Kids Day Saturday May 5th, shotgun cast at 9am to start event at the Young Township Park Pond.  It is free to all youth. Lunch is provided, and prizes will be given away to all kids.  Registration is done on site and donations are welcome!   Please get there early as this event often has 200+ children.  No lures and good luck.  Look for signs on 286 between Indiana and Clarksburg.   

Remember Blackleggs is stocked weekly from the opener to memorial day with 13,000 fish!!!!!!!!!

    Will they be stocking that day? You had said in another post that it was prestocked before opening day ... I'm guessing it'll be stocked that day too?

    The stream is stocked by the state this week, and the lake will be stocked heavily for kids day with Brooks, browns, bows, tiger and orange ones. Rumor is 1st boy and girls limit will be getting an awsome prize! lots of other prizes too, door prizes for all kids and lunch for the kids.

    Is the kid's day Sat. or Sun? The heading has Sunday and the post says Saturday

    Sorry! Its Saturday May 5th... Should be a great day weather looks to be perfect and a pile of fish have been stocked .

    Hope some of you made it!  What a day...at one point we had over 350 people there!  220+ kids registered and more who just fished.  We gave out $200+ in cash prizes, 4 bikes and hundreds of other prizes.  Thanks to all the sponsers and donors!  On top of that the kids really caught some fish, some where close to 400.
