Pymatuning in April

Besides the spillway, are there any other places anyone would recommend for early season walleye?  I have a camp in Espyville but have not been able to fish until May in the past and would like to try some shore fishing until the boat is ready. Sounds like I want to avoid the spillway.  Any help would be appreciated.

fish, any creek mouth, any rock or gravel (that's what we call them) bar, any point could produce fish.  keep in mind that the numbers may be down a little, but evening into the dark and sometimes at daybreak will produce fish.  i like a west wind best with some cloud cover, but as fish reach their spawning peak, it really doesn't matter.

I keep reading/hearing about fishing rock/gravel bars.  Do you guys mean sandbars?  I know one year we hit them good on a sandbar.
