George Harvey

I just read that Mr. Harvey aka the Dean of Fly-Fishing passed away earlier this week.  What a great man with many, many accomlishments, I was fortunate enough to meet him during my time at Penn State.  Just thought I would pass this along...

There will never be another person like him, just like a lot of people.  It wont be long before a lot of pioneers of our "love" are gone.  Harvey, Kreh just to name a couple.  What they have done for the flyfisherman is almost countless.  Next time you see an Ol' Timer on the creek stop and say hello. You may never know who you may run into and what you may learn!  I am a Funeral Director by profession and my prayer for the fishing departed is always "May your lines in Heaven always be tight, except for when you release it", "Farewell...until we meet again on the water."
