Easter Eve on Elk---neat pics of Erie

Found some fish on Elk yesterday...fishing was tough early, but when the winds calmed down in the evening, the fishing picked up a bit.  Caught some fresh jacks moving into the stream.  My buddy and I got there around noon and fished until almost dark and managed around 20 steel.  Hit the access then Legion then back to the access in the evening.  An interesting day to say the least....Again, we hit Calfin's on the way home and their ribs teamed with a cold Killian's were phenominal!  Tight Lines.

No...we weren't fishing Alaska either!!

    ShutMupNFish?

Picked those up at a local bait store...you get stamps and return address stickers for them in case one snaps off and you want it sent back...it even has a little compartment inside that you can put a messege in...you know, like messege in a bottle?  They are also handy to carry in your vessel as a floatation device!

I was thinking, it may have been easier to place your bait/rig on one of the many small iceburgs floating in the lower creek and just shove it off into the current, then, just when your rig hits the area you want to fish, just pull it off and wait for the takedown. You're lucky there wasn't any small boats in the area such as the case in the fall....  You may have just sunk one with the tactics you employed this past weekend.
