yeah, i actually caught a 3lb brookie during ice in february there.

Have u ever fished the creek below the lake?  I walked a bit of it, and it seems shallow.  I noticed it runs all the way down 51 past the bait shop.  Do they stock through there, or just at the lake?

They stock down to the hole behind and just above the ice arena.   Fish can end up anywhere however.  In my opinion, the creek is too shallow and does not merit being stocked at all.  I'd rather see those fish go to Little Beaver where there is more fishing opportunity.

went out on sat, boated a couple then wham.. 19" palamino caught trolling. I'll try and post picks later. The creek is stocked but I don't fish it much, but as stated the hole behind the arena is the last point of stocking.

thanks for the info.  I agree that the creek seems a bit shallow.  If the water temp gets too high, thsoe fish are 'dead in the water'.  thats a shame.

It's only a short swim down stream where it dumps into the beaver river. By the way there are alot of muskies and pike that hang out at the mouth waiting for a rainbow snack.
