psu_fish You really are that type of guy that screams about prices 96 hours into a presidency, LMAO. My 5 and 7 year old boys can offer up a more rational argument than you.
I bet your sons could offer up a rational argument why lowering prices should be more urgent than renaming a gulf and a mountain.
Yea those EO's were dumb....but what is worse? Biden killing American energy production with his day one EO or naming a body of water? Seems like nearly 78 million people had 4 years of Biden and Harris, men wearing and/or stealing women clothes in his adminstration, and countless other stupid things...and said we will go back to Trump. Cry/Harder
On a fishing forum, you'd think we'd at least all be in agreement that offshore drilling destroying waterways being stopped is a positive. But some of us are in a cult of big time r@pe fans. Also fans of killing the environment, apparently, but that's secondary. Who knew?

Have you googled what a lithium mining operation looks like? https://www.euronews.com/green/2022/02/01/south-america-s-lithium-fields-reveal-the-dark-side-of-our-electric-future https://energyx.com/blog/the-problem-with-current-lithium-extraction-methods/ Or cobalt mining in the Congo? https://www.nybooks.com/a...lt-red-siddharth-kara/ Surely that cannot be good for the environment as well? How many solar panels did you build? I mean I wish this country fully embraced nuclear energy generation, but all we got from Biden was a bald dude in the nuclear division wearing red lipstick and stealing women's luggage at the airport.

Did ya ever notice that when people put those panels on their house they never appear to redo the roof first. Just a question of time before leaks start and they whole deal must be removed.

We both know Biden's EO was just fluff to pander to his base. When he came into office the oil/gas industry had about 10 years of unused leases and permits at their disposal. The US had record oil production during the Biden Admin. Same as Trump's "drill baby drill" mantra is just fluff for his base. Just last month, three major energy companies stated they have no intention to drill since that would lower the price of oil (and their profits). They have enjoyed record profits during Biden. Capitalism is going to be a major headache for Trump's agenda.

When the solar sales guy stopped at my house, I asked what happens when I need to redo my roof. His response was, why don’t you just do that now? Because I have another 10-15 years on my roof…. Can I sign you up? Can you leave my porch?

good point r3, I always had the same thought. Must be a mess when one fails without the other.

Some of the best fishing in the gulf are around offshore gas and oil platforms.

Correct...that's not really the issue. The issue is that the whole argument about offshore drilling is a made up fantasy because the only thing that matters with offshore drilling is if the people who own the coastal properties want to see drill rigs or not. Guess what? The coastal property owners in TX, LA, and MS were all either oil companies or rich people in the industry so the entire Gulf of AMEXICO west of Pensacola is a city of rigs. Why doesn't Gov. Ron lobby "hugely" for offshore drilling in the Amexico Gulf off Florida? He knows it's not a winner. The rich MAGA on his Amexico shore don't want to see that $hit. End of story.

Knew a chopper pilot who flew supplies out to the rigs in the gulf years back. On his return trips he would bring fish for market on behalf of the rig workers who fished from the rigs in their off time. He said its about the only real structure and the fish concentrate there.

Is your cellphone battery and components and/or your computer in which you are replying on, good for the environment? I mean have you considered the carbon footprint from mining, to production to shipping it and recharging it…….oooor is it selective outrage?
