Aggravating stuff

How about a thread of stuff ya want to get off your mind but isnt too political.
Like spam calls-game or fishing laws that seem regressive or anything else bothersome.

I'll kick it off-
Here in Ct hunters generally agree our Turkey numbers are significantly down in the past few years--drastically in some places.
Therefore the State has increased the hunt hours from a noon daily end time to all day in Spring and Fall seasons.
They have also increased the Spring gobbler limit from 2 birds to 5 and the fall is at 3.
That ought to help a rebound--NOTTT

Love the video--
They could have reduced the kill and entertained a bobcat trapping season at the same time as the cats are increasing as the birds seem to be decreasing. Keeping the hunting hours  the same woulda been an indication of wanting the flocks to increase as well.
Word was the license sales were going down so the hours and limits went up.
Game or budget management ???
Yes -I am cranky about this.
Aggravated too.

1) People that need to walk along side their shopping carts while being on their cell phones taking up the entire isle.
2) Crocs, the worlds most emasculating footwear. Have you ever seen yourself and do feel proud you left the house dressed like that. AKA the people who think it's perfectly fine to be seen outside in oversized pajamas.
3) New BMW's and Jeep Cherokee's - Is there a turn signal delete feature from the factory!!
4) Thank goodness the political vote harvesting season is over. I couldn't wait to see a hemorrhiod creme commercial.
Thanks for starting this thread, I feel better already and yes I get cranky too and I'm just gettin' started. Get that dog off my lawn!!!!!
Lets all have fun with this. Merry Christmas

Two lane changers right before the light to turn either right or left — like they didn’t know that before making the move and expecting everyone else to make it clear for them.

Another spam call from another 'roofer' claiming he will be at my house tomorrow to check out the roof.
Told him not ever to come close--this one wanted to argue his point-he got a good message straightforward to the point.
This call comes from several people and at least once a week month in and month out.
They seem to prey on the elderly.

I don’t like it when some guy shanks my hand and wants to squeeze it hard to try and impress me with how tough he is.
Also the jerks who while driving down a divided 4 lane highway, stay in the left passing lane alongside a vehicle in the right lane. They don’t pass just keep pace and block other vehicles who want to pass.
Oh boy, don’t get me started! My list is long!

I used to think the same and agree with the oversized PJ thing. My kids love those crocs from the time they were toddlers. I started seeing them more and more on fishing videos, especially down south or in summer. I tried his on my boat in the summer and are actually some of the most functional warm weather boat shoes. You get similar air flow of flip flops that stay on your feet, can get wet, back strap is sturdy enough to wade around a bit, while providing some shade from burning the tops of your feet. Not the best for wade fishing by any means, but summer boating, they are a pretty good option. You can get them for under $20 too. They work well at the beach too. If you can get past the looking like a moron deal…. I have some Adidas Terrex boat shoes that were like $70. The crocs are more comfortable, Adidas are horrible for the beach, but much better wade fishing option.

Was driving down I-77 out of Beckley, WV two weeks ago.  Couple miles into VA, the electronic billboard used to relay traffic alerts read, "Don't be a left lane loafer."  Saw two more in VA with the same message.

How about the THIN ICE KEEP OFF signs------still there in August.
Warden came by and tried to throw all the ice fishermen off the lake I lived at one winter based on the official thin ice sign.
He met with stiff resistance and when it came to pinching a dozen guys or no one he decided on no one.
We residents pointed out the sign had been there for years and the obvious thickness of the mid winter ice.

6) Lifted 4X4 trucks, 99% of'um, the biggest load in the bed might have been a bag of peat moss and the most off-roading they've ever done is parking in the yard because of grandmas' birthday party.
Addendum to aggravating thing #2 I didn't know they made Crocs in mens sizes. And no, I didn't call or say you look like a moron. This is all in good fun.

No worries, it was my wife that said I looked like a moron! Ha ha.

Those bright car lights are probably #1 for me. It is like someone high beaming.

My wife’s new car has a function where it does automatic high beams. It turns them on while on the interstate and cars on the other side. Wow did that anger me driving that thing.

You obviously aren’t in the pharmaceutical distribution profession…. You also likely have more than $1000 saved. Those folks have been the most aggravating group in this country for a long time.

Hopefully legalization of recreational wacky weed will put a major dent in their profits. I imagine the medical has already put a few out of business. If they are the real scumbags that sell fentanyl as well, hopefully McCormick cracks down on it like he campaigned on. Kill two birds with one stone, less addicts and less scumbags at our Sam’s Clubs!

BTW, get the scan and go app! Life changer. I spend at least $200 just about every time at Sam’s. I can be in and out in less time than many of the checkout lines take. Those new Turnpike style cart checkers at the exit has you fly through there too.

I have to vehemently disagree with you on the possibility of legalizing recreational cannabis. I know from personal experience of people I knew who were addicted to it and how devastating it can be in so many facets of their lives.
For so many people it is definitely a gateway drug to other drugs that are far worse than.

Did having it illegal stop those people? I’m not denying what you said about some having issues with it and some maybe starting with it and moving on to more concerning drugs. I for one was one that had an issue with it and haven’t touched it in 16 years come February.

I know way more people that gatewayed from alcohol than weed. But for some reason, a much more damaging to your health drug, is normalized and doesn’t carry that “gate way” tag. Alcohol by far, is the largest gate way drug in the US and the most abused. I for one am guilty of abusing it on occasions and not abusing it multiple times per week. So, I am no way anti-alcohol, pro weed. We saw what happened with prohibition, not really being a viable system. That and the money generated from the industry. Many never touched weed and fell off the edge from being prescribed pain pills. The majority of the opioid epidemic is from legally prescribed pain pills.

Ohio is (my bad I thought WV too, only bordering state to PA that is illegal) far more conservative than PA, legalized. Those states and many others have researched the available data. PA will eventually do it. The amount in taxation and cutting the head off of drug trade is common sense at this point. Focus LEO efforts on the more harmful drugs. Maybe even forces some of the current and future dealers under the current system to seek legal employment?

as a recovered (by the Grace of God) alkie and opiate addict that ran with the alkies and addicts from 13 to 33, (and never met a drug I wouldn't try) as well as  helping those that want recovery help for the last 30+ years,  I'll can only share that's certainly not my experience, my friend
I strongly suspect the lives you've seen ruined wasn't due to pot.
I'll bet the farm there were other drugs/alcohol and/or serious wrong personal life choices involved that caused their fall

and I'll suggest alcohol is the gateway drug.
It's the drug most of us experienced our first "love for the buzz" of recreational drugs (yes, alcohol is a drug, and yes, those that imbibe ARE drug users)
and distilled spirits are a "hard drug"

100%. I don’t ever recall back in my pot smoking days ever blacking out for hours like the distilled stuff does. Now sure, stuck to a chair for an hour but not stumbling around acting a fool. Just stuck there not bothering anyone, obviously foolish too. Once I gave pot up, never any sort of physical sensation that “I had to get a puff”. Alcohol, there is definitely a physical pull. If it is a weekend after dinner time, I have a distinct urge for a beer. I’ve cut back drastically from 10 years ago when I was in my 30s and hangovers weren’t as bad. Probably should completely quit, but am able to enjoy 1-2 and don’t feel the need for more (at times I will though). I rarely touch the distilled stuff and haven’t done the act a fool blackout hard stuff in over 20 years. Even then, was very rare, maybe cabin trips or other things with others doing the same. Enough dumb moments from beer alone to feel the need to be dumberer.

thing is, folks that have never used other drugs besides alcohol have no clue what their effects are.
Many of them think fentanyl, meth, LSD, shrooms, PCP,  coke, pot  are all the same and their use dooms    the user  to be a Kensington street zombie

truth is, alcohol causes more death, pain and suffering directly and indirectly than ALL the other drugs COMBINED!!!!
Yet,  it's marketed and PROMOTED for crying out loud

For the record, I'm an advocate or ending all prohibition laws and end the losing "war on drugs" (it's biggest trillion dollar boondoggle there is)

Drug abuse is a social issue, not a criminal one as long as you're not robbing or stealing to get high

BUTT....Just me, if drug abuse is the concern they want to fix, I'd suggest they focus on the drug that causes the most problems BY FAR...alcohol

Sorry about that. I was posting on Fishusa while driving, then watching some YouTube flat earth videos, then reading a book….

I have actually seen multiple people reading books while driving down the interstate. My mind was blown after seeing it for the second and third time! One was in a Tesla and assume their autonomous driver mode. But others were in regular sedans, struggling to stay in the lanes. Safely sped passed them and looked over to see if they were sleeping and a dang book open on their steering wheel. I honked at one and almost crashed…. So have decided to not honk at that any longer.
