He has the same 1A rights as us but maybe a tad more pull...not sure.  Just because someone can, should they?  He's basically an unelected private citizen that just blew up the budget deal because he owns his own social network.

It’s estimated that Musk spent around $250 million on various super PACs during the 2024 election. He also bought one of the most widely used social media platforms in the US and used it to amplify trumps messages.

It’s not much of an exaggeration to say he “bought a presidency”, and now he’s in an unprecedented position of power and influence over the federal government, while a bunch of the companies he’s involved in have tens of millions in government contracts.

It’s cartoon villain levels of corruption. And yea it’s so out in the open that it’s difficult to imagine they would be so brazen about behavior that’s so obviously crooked. Then again that has basically been trumps MO since the beginning and nobody seemed to care.

Is this a question in response to what I posted? I’m not sure I understand what you are even asking.

But surprise, surprise, musk and Trump are already screwing up the spending bill after Johnson had negotiated a bipartisan deal.

Remember when I said republicans can’t actually govern? It’s only get worse when Trump is sworn in and Johnson’s house majority gets even smaller.
