The assessment of Willow’s performance compared to Frontier “was based on conservative assumptions,” Neven said.
 
Human race is doomed...."Skynet" is likely much closer than we think, once they start combining AI and quantum computing.

I have been to a number of conferences that included AI topics, most of the were about the caution of how often AI got it wrong because it was either coded in a certain slant or it wanted to find the answers that the inquirer wanted based on the way the prompt questions were asked — such as making up out of whole cloth precedence cases (law); changing voice transcription (medical); and creating hallucination (I guess that is the technical term, not mine) references for scholarly works that don’t actually exist.

What they've always said about computers: Garbage in, garbage out. Fallible people still have to program them.
