NASCAR Picks of the Week - 2024 - Talladega

Gentlemen.
 
     This week the NASCAR Boys return to Talladega.  And most of you already know what Dega means.  Speed, tires, fuel management, speed and pit strategy.
     And as for picks?> ? ? ?   Who knows?  with 35 laps to go you want your picks to either be leading, or 25 places behind.  And wait for the "Big One", or two or three.

     Here's Your Top 12:  With Playoff Points.
 
1.  William Byron  + 34  Just get a Top 10 finish
2.  Ryan Blaney  + 28  Needs a Top 10, and some Stage Points
3.  Christopher Bell  + 28  Same situation as Blaney
4.  Kyle Larson + 18  Gonna need a good run. No DNF
5.  Denny Hamlin + 11  Needs stage Points, AND a good finish
6.  Alex Bowman + 8  Needs some great Breaks, and a Top 10
7.  Chase Elliott  + 4  Needs bad luck for others and a Top 5
8.  Joey Logano  + 4  Same as Elliott.  I can see them crashing out while racing for 6th.
9.  Tyler Reddick  - 4   Needs a lot of luck and to survive
10.  Daniel Saurez - 14   Needs luck, a great finish, and passing 9 of the others.
11.  Chase Briscoe - 25  Needs a Top 5
12.  Austin Cindric  -29  Pretty Much needs a Top 5, or a win

     Well, that was an Oh Sh*t Moment.  Biggest crash in NASCAR history.
     Denny Hamlin was ****ed because they let some cars continue with missing pieces. (they finished ahead of him).
     What happened to the inner-liners for the tires?
 
      We had 1 person come closest to picking the winner.  That was Me, picking Denny Hamlin, who finished 10th.
      We had two people pick the actual Best Long Shot. They were Bigfoot, and Bloody Hand; both picking Brad Keselowski, who finished 2d.
      And we had 3 people pick the closest 1st out.  They were: Dano, Fishin' Coyote, and Bloody Hand, picking:  JJ Yeley.
      So, this weeks' Best Picker, and NASCAR God of the Week, is me with an underwhelming 46 Points.  Congratulations?
