NASCAR Picks of the Week - 2024 - Darlington

Gentlemen,

And for the final race of the pre-season we travel to Darlington.  The last qualifying race for the playoffs.
There's a LOT on line for 4 drivers coming into this race, and for about 20 more it will take a win to get to the playoffs.
Driver #1 Chris Buescher - +21 in the points.  He needs to finish well, or win.
Driver #2 Ty Gibbs - +39 in the points.  He just needs to finish and have nobody else win.
Driver #3  Bubba Wallace - -21 in the points.  He needs to finish 22 spots ahead of Buescher,
      or win.
Driver #4 Ross Chastain - -27 in the points.  He needs to finish 28 points ahead of Buescher,        and 5 points ahead of Wallace or win.
Driver #5  Kyle Busch -  Simply needs to win.

Now the question is?  Can any of these drivers expect "help" (pushing, blocking) from any of the other drivers?

     Here's Your Top 12:

1.  Tyler Reddick                                  7.  Brad Keselowski
2.  Kyle Larson                                    8.  Denny Hamlin
3.  Chase Elliott                                   9.  Martin Truex, Jr.
4.  Ryan Blaney                                  10.  Ty Gibbs
5.  William Byron                                11.  Chris Buescher
6.  Christopher Bell                             12.  Alex Bowman

     And Here's My Picks:

          Winner:  Kyle Busch
                Long Shot:  Bubba Wallace
                        1st Out:  Kaz Grala

Good Luck!                       Thank You for Playing

    Gentlemen,

That was an excellent race.  Another 1st time winner.  Disappointment for quite a few drivers. But now the stage is set for the playoffs.
We had one person come closest to picking the winner.  That was me, picking:  Kyle Busch (2).
We had one person pick the best Long Shot.  That was Fishin' Coyote, picking:  Kyle Busch (2).
And we had everyone except me pick Timmy Hill as their 1st out (35).

And congratulations go out to this weeks' Best Picker, and MASCAR God of the Week: Dano with a Great 82 points!  Congratulations! .

         Here's How We Scored:

    1.  Dano *************************************  82
    2.  Bigfoot *********************************  78
    3.  Indsguiz **************************  64
    4. Bloody Hand ***********************  63
    5.  Hendey Lathe *****************  52
    6.  Fishin' Coyote ***************  49
    7.  Wood Nickle **  2

Congratulations again to Dano     And Thank You for Playing
