Pine Creek

Hi All. I am planning on going to Pine Creek near the old railroad bridge this Friday as long as I can get the day off of work. Did anyone fish that this past weekend? Did they stock it well this year? Many trout left or did they really punish it on Saturday?

Many Thanks.

is pine creek fishable with a 6wt, 9ft rod?  I am new to flyfishing, and will need a little more room than experienced flyfishers.  I have so far caught more trees than fish  Any help on more "open" sections is appreciated.

Some sections are OK with a 9'. Although it will be crowded this weekend. Also, I just drove up from there as they were restocking. (around 5pm Thurs)

Underneath the old trestle and upstream near the two bends are nice open areas. That is exactly where I learned to flyfish myself.

I agree that the list says April 26th for restocking.. unless this was unscheduled of course.

I am heading down there today at noon. Taking the fly rod today, I would assume nymphing is my best bet. Is Wildwood Sportsman shop still open? I drove past it the other day and it looked shut down. I need to pick up a few flies if I can before heading down.

    Thanks.

It could have stocked by allison park sportsmans club??? try off of bryant road just north of the delayed harvest section. wildwood closed last summer. my shop is north park sports shop but we have very little fly fishing inventory. some packaged flies is about it. there use to be a fly shop just north of CCAC on 19 but not sure if they are still open?

they are stocking today at 1pm. i dont believe pine creek is near brandt school road i think its a small stream called fish run or something then turns into pine? anyway they stock from where pine creek comes out of north park lake all the way down route 8.
