Yough River Walleye

I was looking for some feedback on what section of the yough river is good to go for some walleye. I could use a kayak or go from shore. This part of pa seems kinda tough for eyes, but I've heard they are in there. Or, where is a good body of water to go after this species?

Any feedback is appriciated.

I’ve not caught walleye consistently on the yough, but the stretch near Cedar Creek Park is nice, and so is the area near Buena Vista. Those are definitely a couple good access points for a kayak and I’ve caught a mixed bag of species around there including the odd walleye.

If you ride a bike it opens up a ton of water on the yough if you want to fish from the shore.

Floating from Dawson to Layton is a great trip too. Lots of different kind of water in that stretch. Not sure if Hazelbakers is open right now, but if/when they are they will shuttle you upriver.

Not sure about yak as I used to head upstream, but Boston bridge area used to treat me well when I had a shallow running little boat.

There are alot of walleye in the Yough, from the dam at Connellsville to Boston, there are many, many places to catch them. You can catch them any time of the day on numerous baits.
There are several areas where there are back eddies, you will always catch walleyes there.
Catching them on a fly rod is pretty interesting with their teeth...lol...you got to be quick!
