11# largemouth bass at Twin Lakes

According to the PF&BC an approx. 11# bass was caught at Twin Lakes recently. The state record is 11#& 3oz. They did not say if it was kept or released. A couple of years ago another one that big was caught & released there.   sam

    WEIGHT = LENGTH x GIRTH2 / SHAPE FACTOR

    Hope whoever guestamated the Bass weight, used the correct "shape factor".🤔

    I dumped a bucket full of chubs at Cross Creek one evening after fishing from the bank in the shallow end, and I watched the biggest bass I ever saw that close immediately explode on them right in front of me. Looked like a 7 lber to me. And he was huge (prob a she)...11 is enormous...I was being sarcastic as usual, but an 11 is exceptionally large.

    I will tell you the formula that I use:  if I caught it it was prob. bigger, If some-one else caught it,it was prob. smaller.   lol   sam

    I've seen one large bass ever at twin lakes. During the arts and heritage festival. Right by a crowded sidewalk. Had a carp sized head, but was definitely not a carp. Had to have been over 5-6lb. Caught 1 20" bass years ago at Mammoth. Kinda skinny, probably only 3-4lb.
