Lowrance Hook5 Problem

I am having an issue with my Lowrance Hook5 which is only a couple years old.  The unit has been working fine up until April of this year, which happens to be when there was a GPS satelite update and units needed to be updated.  I no longer have access to my micro sd card.  I can't update my unit, can no longer select my genesis maps and I can't save any saved waypoints to my sd card.  I have reached out to Lowrance and they are giving me conflicting info.  They claim my unit is up to date with software version 3.0 but my unit is reading version 2.0.  I think that my sd card slot is no longer reading my card.  Has anyone else ever experienced this with any Lowrance Product.
