Good article crappy, many guys just don't know. "smoke not good" reminds me of my job, sewer smells in houses are stronger during low barometer readings. An open sewer pipe in a house sucks air in on high pressure days and blows the stink in the house on low pressure days. Any air leak in the plumbing drainage systems shows up on cloudy rainy days. When I get a call from someone who says my house has been stinking the last COUPLE days it's a great fishing day..steady lows or quick drops from high to low are killer bites. Steady highs I've never found to be as good.

Too bad we can't plan our life fishing around a steady barometer

Septic tips...it's ALIVE!! Don't throw vegetative material in the drain...food waste disposers are great and work great on septics, limit green stuff, bacteria and natural biological enzymes struggle breaking it down...any old meat stuff is great, old guys used to toss in a road kill now and again, it works...no cleaners with chlorine, no clorox bleach, no drop in the toilet tank cleaners, no listerine or other mouthwashes, spit it in a glass and throw it outside..think of a septic tank like an aquarium, lots of beneficials alive, don't kill 'em with toxins..tell your wife if she needs to whiten the whites with clorox go to the laundromat, I'm tellin ya it will kill a septic system...And to keep on topic, I rarely have been to High Point without wind, and the toothy bite should be hot right now

    Thanks Dan,

Our tub, shower & laundry bypass the tank. T is in place & leech field looks good. New treatment for a good healthy start.

Checked a few swamps today & the Pike r in full spawn. More than likely a ton ov fry will not make it back to the lake when the water drops . Hope they don't lower the water level in the next week much or some BIG MAMMAS & little dads won't make it back either.

The bite should pick up in a few weeks when they r done doing their thing. Guess should try for some Byrds next nice spell from boat. In the meantime I'll try & give the Perch & Crappie a shot.
