Jigging spinner

Have used the Northland fireball spinners and the Northland whistlers for panfish several times, they are productive lures.
Even used them for pellet heads (stream and pond) with success.
 
I try to keep a few various colors in my tackle bag.

The only thing we've done vertical with them has been for Perch on Erie...they worked for that too.

When you guys vertical jig, do you usually target fish that you are marking on the bottom, or go after suspended fish?  I have tried both, with limited success.  I also alter how I jig, small snapping twitches, longer smooth raise and drops, ect.  Using sonars, Rapala jigging raps, curly tails, buck tails, rattle traps, jig head and minnows and even Erie Dearies.  I just can't seem to figure it out.  Something that I end up spending hours doing, then wishing that I just focused on the much more willing panfish!  Half of the time that I am having some success, I will end up blind casting out and straight retrieving with jigging and end up doing better than the vertical jigging (that I am marking a ton of fish).  I know the walleye pros crush fish vertical jigging.  I'll mimic exactly (or what I think is exactly...) what they are doing, and nothing.  I'm hoping to crack that code this year.

I hope you know, planning to drift really slow and keep vertical, likely means 20mph winds and blown all over the lake...  At least seems to be what happens to me!

Here is the lure that I am thinking to get.  Anyone ever have any luck with anything similar?
 

Yeah, I thought it might mimic two fish that are close to each other.  The article mentioned vertical jigging them.  I have a feeling the blade would get caught up in your line a good bit though, when vertical jigging.  When I vertical jig sonars, one of my hooks gets caught up on my line pretty often.  Hopefully one of the bait shops by Arthur has in their selection. I didn't see anything online with FishUSA.  Most likely, just one of those lures that catch the fisherman...  I have a bunch of those already!
