What we needed

Word has it that we might get hit with a tropical storm. Hope this is true. Might get the run going

    call me crazy, but rain doesn't "get the run going"...that is,  if/when there's enough water at the mouth to enter a creek
     
    They've been filtering  in every night at Elk and Walnut since early Sept.
    Just can't get far due to shallow water and get picked off in the gin clear  pools by hungry hoards of troutgawds  
     
    Rain/high water events  allow them to move upstream is the biggest thing that happens.
    Not mass waves of fish entering

    Yeah I understand that. I was just hoping this rain would spread out the fishermen because the fish would move up stream. Everybody is concentrated at the mouths right now.

    Exactly.....you only need one boot this time of year, just slip the other in the guys next to you !

    Exactly.....you only need one boot this time of year, just slip the other in the guys next to you ! 


    Don't even need to worry about bringing a boot... no water to stand in right now

    this is "one of" the driest Falls  I can recall 
    If it lasts another couple weeks, it might  be THE driest I can recall

    Ironic because we had a ton of rain all summer, now practically none this fall!
    Ill be mup in November...

    Which is OK by me. Since I prefer the beach fishing early in the year. Yea, I'm a selfish local (as I've been told). A little early drought is good.
