Crooked Creek Lake

Just wondering if anyone had a report on Crooked Creek? Are the crappie biting? I haven't fished there for a couple years and was thinking of making a trip this week if the weather permits. Thanks.

Can anyone share general info on this lake?  Never fished or paddled it and wondering what the water depth is like, especially south of the boat launch.  Taking a kayak btw.  Hope to do a little crappie fishing this weekend.

Gilliganjr, Today's PF&BC report on Crooked Creek lake is that it is muddy & a lot of floating debris. That coupled with rain tomorrow wil make it pretty risky for the next few days at least. IMO   sam

south of the launch (upstream) gets shallow in a hurry. Kayak should be fine to get around in, but I don't know how the crappie fishing would be. I always go left out of the launch. Lots of logs trees and sticks floating last week. Water was very high. I only caught a few keepers.

I'm reading online that the docks were not installed this year, is that the case? They talk about a shallow soft bottom for launch. I've never been there but am thinking of going next week. It's tough getting in my deep V with the bow mounted trolling motor without a dock, especially if I'm alone. Any suggestions?
