Dutch Fork Lake

Does anyone fish that lake ? Thinking of taking my kayak there . Was wondering if any bass in there or just take fly rod and ultra lite and fish for bluegill .I dont know of anyone that fished the lake  just wondering if it would be a waste of time

Keep in mind it's only been re opened for a few years and has always been primarily a trout lake and this time of year it's not stocked so if you're looking for a fun day on the water go for it. If you're interested in catching fish I not sure. Did you consider Cross Creek?

You might consider Peters Lake also. My brother and his son have a ball catching bluegill, crappie, and smallish largemouth bass on a fly rod.

There you go! I had forgotten that still exists.Use to catch some nice crappie over there but that was when the water company still owned it.

Not a waste of time unless you're into big fish only, there are not big fish there yet.  I went in a boat for the cicada hatch earlier in the summer.  Lots of 10-12" bass & 1.5-2 lb carp.  Loads of standing timber, good kayak water.
