Pymatuning walleye

Might hit pymy for the first time this weekend. Was wondering if anybody had any tips or tactics to share about catching mid summer eyes besides the usual worm harness and trolling hot n tots. Anybody have any luck using rapala jiggin raps or blade baits?

Honestly....I'd save myself the trip. That lake has turned into a catfish pond. I have been there 11 times this year, we have not boated a legal 'eye since mid June. We were just there this past Sunday (July 10) and it was CATFISH ALL DAY!!!!! Some say trolling at night MAY produce. If you try that, take a mesh net for your face or the bugs will drive you insane. This isn't just me saying this...check the Northwest forum. Pymie has been disappointing this year. We have had trips, this last one included, where we did not even catch a crappie...NOT ONE...while fishing crawlers up and down the water column.

You will, likely, do well on largemouth. We did catch several nice to big ones each time we were there targeting walleye. If you are targeting them, you should do well.

I would have posted a few more, but for whatever reason...some pictures upload and others won't. Suffice it to say that if you're after bass...you will likely find them.
