yough river sediment

Been out on the yough a couple times the last two weeks.  Does the river always have a ton of particulate floating in it this time of year?  Especially in the coulter/boston area?  Kinda looks like brown rock snot floating all through the water column.  I think it kinda smells too.  My livewell was stinking post trip.  And the fishing was no good.  Any thoughts?

    this year it's 100x better then last 2  year for sure . west newton and above it's clear as it was before .  I was down everyday for the last week the rain did dirty it up a little but still clean . Only thing I can think of is where your at it's really low after suttersville . I got over 100 trout last week . Now 2 years I had a pole pulled out of boat and couldn't find it cause like you say particles floating this year I seen 2 poles and an I phone on bottom .
