Fly Tyers Reunion at Seven Springs
The 6th annual Fly Tyers Reunion will be hosted by Seven Springs Mountain Resort located at 777 Waterwheel Drive, Seven Springs, PA 15622 in Somerset County. The event will be held at the Resort’s Sporting Clays Lodge on Thursday April 7, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will feature nationally recognized fly tyers and fly rod anglers, many of whom are also magazine and book authors, who will demonstrate their tying methods and skill in tying trout, bass and saltwater flies.
Many of those experts and well known fly tyers are scheduled to appear at Seven Springs. They include Joe Humphreys, Bob Clouser and Bob Clouser Jr., Tom Baltz, Scott Loughner, Bob Meade, Bob Patlen, Greg Heffner, Joe Messinger, Greg Hoover, Walt Young, Scott Cesari as well as tyers from the local region such as Chuck Furimsky, Randy Buchanan, Dave Allbaugh, Andy and Jocelyn Fresch.
In addition, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat District 4 Commissioner and outdoor writer Len Lichvar, of Boswell, will be on hand to informally discuss angling, and other Commission related topics and issues such as the Commission’s Youth Mentored Day and license fee proposals.
The event is free and open to the public and attendees will have the opportunity to discuss fly tying and fly fishing with all of the special guest tyers. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase at the Lodge.
