Pulaski taxes

Looking to hear from any locals on the 2016 property tax situation in Pulaski.
Just got my City/county tax bill and it DOUBLED from last year even though the appraisal is about the same.
Is this area wide or am I seeing some kind of error.
Would appreciate some info before I call into the Tax office in Pulaski - nice to be a bit educated first.
Kinda recall someone mentioning something a few weeks back on this but since my appraisal only changed a hundred dollars or so I never thought anything like a 200% increase would happen.
If this is areawide on top of no fish Pulaski is in for some 'issues'.
Imagine the price of a local room or meal next year--lol.
Seems am getting out just in time.

Mine went up about $15.  What is you tax rate?  According to my bill the county tax is -5.3 % from last year, so your actual county tax should have went down. I would venture your town tax and highway tax went up. Compare  these to last year.  My highway went up 79%.  You should have a change from last year column on your bill.

This would be about right if School tax is added in. They were always very similar.
There is a reference on the billing to a 'school relevy'-whatever that means and its bout half of the billing.
Are they putting the two together now ???
They always  come several months apart and were clearly separate.

It may well be a misunderstanding on what to pay before closing- Kept up with the 2015 billings but may NOT have sent in any billings for 2016- like the school billing a couple of months back.
    Have to check on that.
Lawyer said not to pay for future taxing as it would all be cared for at closing in a couple of weeks.
At any rate am not paying anyone anything now as the posting dates may be in doubt for the rapidly upcoming closing where it all comes out in the wash.
    Thanks for the input guys.
As the school billing is always separate and months different in mailing from property taxes this bill threw me- think I have it nailed.

My life as a  Pulaski part time resident is about over.
Gonna roll in sometime on Tuesday for a last night at my place and go to a Wednesday closing.
Will be very aware of future reports after that and be on the SR when the fishing is OK or better.
Frankly having some doubts about Spring drop backs this season.
Poor fishing was OK when I had my place and was up for  chores anyhow but just to fish in this season is questionable.
Summer fishing is likely over for me as well as very early fishing where ya may or may not even see one.
    Those were good times--
    Gonna be different-----------------

Trevor, best luck and wishes buddy... always sentiment in closing the door on a book of memories. Maybe we'Lloyd have to do a September gathering or mid spring maybe to muster up the long time gang that lurks around these parts :D

Lucky, i know your post was months ago bur never saw it til now...as for tailwater exemption effecting trees taxes, that is completely impossible. Trevor is town of richland and tailgater is town of Albion ;)

I thought exemptions would come from the County IDA, and that would affect County taxes, I think.  Might not be that significant in Oswego County.

Just got home in Ct after the closing today on my place in SR country.
    Glad and sad.
Nice folks across the street bought it- they intend to rent it out to fishermen.
    Send PM if interested.
