very nice fish! I remember fishing that spot as a kid with my Dad. A lot of nice fish come in and out of that area, but those walleye are probably the best I've seen come from that area. In the spring the white bass flood that area and just about every cast we would catch a fish. Good times, thanks for joggin' the memory.

Anyone been on the rivers lately? Is there even anything actively feeding at this point?

Walleye and the occasional musky will hit all winter I believe. The bass seem to get rather sluggish though.

I went with a buddy last Saturday.  I didn't get a hit but he caught another big walleye.  We fished for about 3 hours.  i only had 4 suckers, he made his count.

One fish is pretty good for this time of year, especially one of size! Were you guys bottom fishing or tossing in out and reeling in?

BB split shot with a big sucker.  Throwing up river, drifting some then slowly dragging across the bottom.  Get lots of snags, but if your not snagging your not where the fish are.
