To get away from crowds tomorrow, I was thinking about Pike fishing. What I want to know is, how's the bite been lately?

no prob, after I posted to this thread, I went down to the bay and fished a few spots. caught 2 pike around 24 inches and 3 steelheads. throwing spoons...
So at least its starting to happen here, just not all that great..
For this weekend though, I would go with crappy..

Mr. Yg, Timmy & rippinlip went for trout all days. Jd, headed north & I asked my son Greg if he wanted to go for pike or crappy?
He picked crappy. We didn't do real well, kept 50 - 60 in 2 hrs. then we got cold & left. U get 2 go out/? lTet me n0/

some of the pike in the 24 - 27'' range had some nice bite marks on them.
Not another boat or fisherman in sight for a sun. Glad Timmy called me on
the old ladies cell phone for some needle nose pliers. Spoon they patched the rd.

oKie dOkie , owle be down in the mourn. & Timmy is goen after the dentsit appt. in the eve. PS, the lake is still very high. This should make for a great hatch for the pike/ that spawned /I hope. Too many years they lower the lake to soon & most go to waste. Stranded...
