Deer Valley Lake

Does anyone know if Deer Valley Lake is public or private? I know there's a YMCA camp there and everything but just don't know if it's public. It's been years since I've been up there. Going to be fishing High Point for a few days and was thinking about giving that lake a shot. Thanks.

DV is owned by the YMCA, so private.  Electric motor, and I believe C&R only.  At least that was what I was told, when staying there last year with my daughter for a weekend camp out.  It pained me not to fish it while there.

I know every time I see it on a map I want to go fish it.

Used to stay up there one weekend a year each spring while in high school. 1983,84 & 85 (friend's dad knew somebody who helped run the place). They put us up in the primitive area down by the lake.
We used to slay walleye's (too many to count) and hand sized bluegill all day long.We fished out of row boats that the camp supplied.

Would love to get in there for a week in the fall and see what size/how many carp are in there. I'm betting that there are some real pigs in there that never saw a hook/bait, etc........

    It's on my bucket list.
