Greenlick

Went by Greenlick a little while ago and the water level is up. Never fished it when it's high. Getting frustrated by the rain I'm about to find out.

I fished there last nite, the water was a little cloudy, but nothing serious. The farther away from the inlet the clearer it was. I have been getting a couple of bass each time out. There were a couple of boats & canoes out & a few guys from shore. Also the were about 4 zillion of those little bugs around, they don't bite but because they look like ticks they were a little unnerving. I didn't have any repellant with me but I will next time. JCWA will be holding a clean-up there tomorrow I asked them to contact the park officials about cleaning the restrooms. I don't know about the Lady's room, but the Mens room will make you puke & I wouldn't let any kids in there for sure.   sam

Thanks for the info Sam. Those restrooms are awful. They need to bulldoze those ones and try again.

I believe the "little bugs" are yellow poplar weevils, lots of them around this year. They are not ticks and are harmless.

I've been think about dragging my boat here after walleye. Never fished here at all. I do know it trolling motor only. Any advice on fishing here would be helpful.

Went by today to see what condition the lake was in. Looked high and stained. Never fished it in that condition. I guess plan B for tomorrow.

tigercat, I fished there this even., water is up a little, but good color where I was. A lot of surface activity but I couldn't get any bass on top. Did get a few on the bottom again.Only a few out again. Looks like they canceled that clean-up on Sat. as the small dumpster was overflowing, but I only got a small bag of trash.  sam
