Fishing recently

Anyone been doing any catching other than the trout lakes? Any luck on the river?

might go before work tomarrow.  I may have missed early bite (walleye).  The "pigs" may have moved out already!  It should be worth a look.  New reel, new braid.  Should be able to catch every rock on the bed of the river now!

I fished the spillway at Crooked Creek and the Allegheny on Friday and didn't manage much aside from 1 13" walleye.  (First fish of the year) but then me and my buddy went to Twin Lakes and we got about 10 trout between the two of us.  CC was still cold about 42* although I did have a nice size musky roll up at a hair jig I was using.  Maybe this week of 60s and nights not going further south than the mid 40s the activity should pick up a ton.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are investigatingreports of an alligator in the Monongahela River near Belle Vernon.
Southwest Regional Police Chief John Hartman says at least two people have reported spotting the alligator.
The first report came last night around midnight, a man reported seeing the six-to-seven foot long alligator swimming upstream.

I've got beef, chicken, and venison fermenting (sealed 5 gallon buckets- that need burped often) in bacon grease in my basement.  What is the PFBC's stance on alligators?  Nothing on the AIS page.  Time to get a Tranx, lol.

Probably the same stance as the PGC on mountain lions -- they don't exist, but if you run into one, don't shoot it because they are endangered in PA due to not existing, or something like that. 😊
