South Connellsville Trout
Looking for info on fishing the yough/joining south Connellsville...areas where the sportsman's club parking etc., talked to someone here a few years back but never got to get there...any info would be appreciated

Join the South Connellsville Rod & Gun Club. You get a key to the gate, safe parking and access to the whole river as far as you want to go. Google it, I think it's like SCRG.com or close to that. They raise and stock Trout. Plus the shooting ranges.

Join the club! Fast water, deep holes, trout can be caught most times of the year. Excellent smallmouth fishing. Fun to just sit on shore and watch trout rising to feed on a hot July evening.

I found their website to be extremely vague. Where is this place? (Don't say south connelsville ) how big are the grounds? How much river access do they have? How many members/ how busy is it there?

I'm sure someone will get back with you. When you come in Connellsville take Pittsburgh Street. All the way until it ends. Turn right and make a left at the first street down follow that road till the end and you're there. Like I said before there is no linit on places to fish. You could actually follow The tracks all the way to Ohiopyle if you felt like walking. There are a lot of fish put in every year. Just keep sending messages, someone will answer. You can go there every Saturday morning and someone will be there.

If you want to join, or come check it out one day, I'm a member and would have no issue taking you guys down and showing you the grounds. Being a member, I can have 1 non member with me at a time. It's very laid back and you can fish as far as you can walk up the river/tracks. They stock a ton of trout that they raise.
