Would love to see SR running about 600-think it makes the fish a lot calmer and will more readily take an offering.

500-1000 is what makes me think steelhead... Yes more weight is needed but i agree Trev that it calms them down and stops the salmon tactics from prevailing on these wonderful fish

We had excellent swinging to these fish in 250 down low.  I think they hit just fine in lower water if they are not pressured.  There are still too many yankers prowling the riffs from the Black Hole to 2 so that many of the upriver fish have already escaped an out of town ride once or twice.  As these guys get off the water with less salmon,  the bite should improve.  Gonna test this theory on Tuesday, and I'm hoping for the same amount of water I was looking at last week to go along with the rising temperatures.

Fished mid-river today wind and leaves were the first problem. The second was the number of guys- sportsmans, pineville, altmar, the wire and 2a seemed busy but keep in mind I hate crowds. Slashers with three marble size split shots were abound. I will be curious to see what this warm front does.

As much as I dislike weekends looks like this one is on the calendar-Just before Deer season and time to winterize the place.
Always someplace to get off alone and find a pocket. Will try the larger bugs on the fly too as sacs still dont seem to be the most effective weapon for some reason.
