Newbie on the Yough

Greetings,
I am planning a trip to Hopwood PA (its between Uniontown and Ohiopyle state park) at the end of October and would like to do some fishing along the Yough.  I have fished around the state park before with little success and would like to explore some new areas.   I do have the option to float with a canoe but would like to consider wading/shore options as well.  I am not familiar with this area at all and would appreciate any information as far as access/hiking trails/low level areas that could easily be accessed by shore fishermen.  I have some guys with me who don't fish often and would love to get them hooked on smallies.  I greatly appreciate any info or advice!!

Thanks,

Dante
