I know you said "custom" but you can pick up a new Loomis STR1141S GL3 on Ebay for $210 out the door. Hard to beat that price. Hurry 1 left!!

FishUSA just advertised St. Croix for a very nice price. Not sure if any were noodle rods but, worth checking.

the st. croix rods being advertised are all steelhead rods.  these are seconds with minor blems.  i believe akita is looking for a rod to meet his personal specifications.

i ended up finding a croix on there web site that i am gonna look for. i have to see 1 in person to see if the butt handle is long enough for me. i use mostly all 4# main line and 2.6# and 3.7# seagar grand max. i do land alot of fish even going this lite, but you must also have the right rod. i had a cortland endurance that was perfect until i broke it. i now have a shimano convergence that is ok but just alittle stiff in the tip. i see that st croix has a avid 10'6, slow action, 1/6-1/4 lure weight, 2#-6# line. im just not sure if the handle is to my likeing. thanks for all the help.

Now there's a angler you can ask questions about selecting fishing gear. Not for his choice in manufacture(s) but, he knows ya gotta match the equipment that works together and learn how to use it. Fish on dude!!
