I haven't but my in laws fly fished them beofre and they caught a ton.
They are not the best fly fishermen or fishermen in general, so I'd say there are some fish in there. They fished the one on the right with the fountain in it. Sorry, thats all I got...

Private ponds , no. The "fish for fun" ponds?
Yes. Those are the ponds on your left and right as you enter. Great place to take your kid. If you can't help him catch a trout there, then throw your rod in the lake. There are four ponds near entrance and two down road before entrance. Hope this helps. Believe the last time I was there the cost was $16 for adult.

Contact Flyway on here, he is the head of the fly fishing and wing shooting up there.  He could direct you to where you need to go.

There are several ponds on the property in addition to the ones by the entrance.  There are several on toward the top of the mountain around the old airport near the sporting clays.  The 7 springs website includes a map of the available ponds (there are several additional ponds on the resort that aren't on the map that hold lots of fish). Google maps hybrid view will show them.  There are a few that are off limits - Nutting VIP guests' use only.

This year they seem to be enforcing their permit requirement for all ponds on the resort property.  I get an annual permit each year, but this is the first year out the past several that I've seen resort security asking anglers if they have permits.  I recall the daily permit is $15 for the non "fly fishing only" water.  There are 2 fly fishing only, special regulation ponds that cost $80/day to fish.

The ponds that are not "flyfishing only" hold mainly bass and panfish.  There are supposedly pike & muskie in 1 or 2 of the airport ponds.

I suggest calling the sporting clays shop for information.  I think that is where the fishing guides are based.

I was lucky enough to fish up there a few years ago. I myself didn't catch much, a few smaller bass and bluegills but I did lose a bass I'd guess was around 20 inches. One guy caught a pike that was probably 34 inches. He said he was casting to a bigger pike he saw when this one hit it. But yeah, these were the lakes around the airport. Beautiful lakes.
