Fairview Gravel Pit worth fishing anymore?

Been a long time since I've fished it and was thinking of trying the kayak in there for bass while I'm in town. I think 98% of my fishing will be in PI Bay and connecting waters but won't mind fishing the water body where I got my very first (and 2nd following it) bass.

While doing a project for a field zoology class at Behrend back in '78, I actually found some fresh water sponge growing on a coke can on the bottom of the gravel pits.  Never knew there was such a thing.

Gobies in the pit? Not a good thing for such a small body of water. One thing I don't miss up there is those guys......though we could be close to Asian Carp invasion here if they ever make it over the dams.

I live a mile away and rarely fish it. Still good for and evening in the lawnchair for panfish, but now the gobies are in there too.
