Greenlick

I was surprised to see a pict. of a guy drilling holes in the ice at Greenlick in to-days Greens. Trib. usualy Greenlick is one of the last lakes to freeze in this area. Anyone willing to share any info on any of the local lakes? To-day would have been a great day to be out.Tomorrow should be good also, with a plus being that holes should remain open & you can find some if you are just starting out & don't have an auger.  sam

Fished Laurel Hill Lake yesterday.  There was a good 5-6" of ice on the entire lake.  Weather forecast does not look good.

Yeah it's tough in this area to maintain enough good ice. I really thought the sub zero temps would do the trick, and they did. But now the warm spell and Saturdays imminent rain are gonna mess it up. Bummer.

I fished the lower lake from about 3-5 pm yesterday.  the ice was fine, still about 4" everywhere i drilled.  lot of water on the ice making it really slippery, if you don't have cleats on your boots be careful.

Greenlick is almost ice free as of yesterday. Creek flowing in was almost up to the road.

The lake needed a good flushing!
